Norwegian law, with citations, inside your AI assistant

In short

  • Lovly answers questions about Norwegian law from current Norwegian laws and central regulations published by Lovdata, and cites the sections it relies on with links to lovdata.no.
  • Connect it to Claude (or any MCP client) with the server URL https://mcp.lovlyai.no/mcp and sign in with your Lovly account.
  • Questions cost the same as on lovlyai.no: 3 free answer previews a day, or full answers with a pass, a question pack or a subscription. Payments are always completed by you, by card on Stripe's checkout page or in the Vipps app.

Connect

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors. Find Lovly in the directory, or choose Add custom connector and enter https://mcp.lovlyai.no/mcp.
  2. Select Connect. Lovly opens lovlyai.no, where you sign in with Google or Microsoft and approve the connection.
  3. Ask Claude a question about Norwegian law, for example "Hvor lang oppsigelsestid har jeg etter tre år i fast stilling?"

Other MCP clients

Lovly is a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP. It uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE, and publishes its metadata at https://mcp.lovlyai.no/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. It is listed in the official MCP Registry as no.lovlyai/lovly.

Tools

  • ask_lovly (Spør Lovly): answers a question about Norwegian law with citations. Optionally takes earlier Lovly questions and answers from the same conversation for follow-ups, plain-language mode and the answer language. Uses one question, or one free preview.
  • unlock_answer (Lås opp svar): returns the full version of an answer you got as a preview, after you have bought access. Uses one question, and is free for an answer already unlocked.
  • buy_lovly_access (Kjøp tilgang): creates payment links for the product you choose: card via Stripe, and Vipps for the pass and question pack. Nothing is charged unless you open a link and complete the payment yourself.
  • get_lovly_account (Lovly-konto): shows your subscription, pass, purchased questions and free previews left today. Read-only and free.

Pricing

  • Free: 3 answer previews a day, showing which sections apply and the start of the answer.
  • 7-day pass: 49 kr, full answers for 7 days (up to 50 questions), no subscription.
  • Question pack: 10 questions for 39 kr, no expiry.
  • Subscription: unlimited full answers, monthly or yearly.

Privacy

Lovly only receives what the assistant sends to its tools: your question and, for follow-ups, earlier Lovly questions and answers in the same conversation. It does not read your chat history, memory or files. Questions are not stored after they are answered; a locked preview's full answer is kept for 7 days so you can unlock it. Disconnect

Remove Lovly under Settings → Connectors in Claude, or see and disconnect connected apps on lovlyai.no/tilkoblede-apper after signing in.

Limits

Lovly gives general information about Norwegian law, not legal advice for your specific case. It covers current laws and central regulations, not court decisions. Answers can be wrong, so check the cited sections, and talk to a lawyer when a lot is at stake.
